Here’s the history of the IDR FireAero Super Trike. The FireAero was produced in the early 1980s by Industrial Design Research of Santa Ana, California. Industrial Design Research was founded by child star Dave Stollery, who appeared in dozens of movies and TV shows in the 1950s. Stollery was best known for portraying Marty in “The Adventures of Spin and Marty” on Disney’s Mickey Mouse Club show on ABC. Stollery quit acting at age 18 and, went to school for automotive design, and worked for General Motors in the 1960s. The FireAero was advertised as an exotic vehicle experience. It is estimated that only 30 FireAero Cycle Cars were sold.
