Corvette Stingray L46 Coupe
Year:
1969
This 1969 Corvette is equipped with the optional 11:1 compression 350/350HP L46 engine in stunning Monaco Orange with 37,600 original miles. This is one of the most exciting Corvettes ever produced—Car and Driver tested and praised the L46 350HP for its high-revving, small-block power and strong performance. Compared to big-block alternatives, the 350HP engine provided similar output but with better handling and overall driving dynamics thanks to its lighter weight.
The car features a factory close-ratio Muncie M21 4-speed transmission with the matching VIN stamp and original HW suffix code on the engine. It also retains its original Fulie heads, correct intake manifold, and Rochester carburetor. The drivetrain is completed by a factory-original 4.11 ratio positraction rear end (AP code) and GM tach-drive distributor with a working 7,000 RPM tach (6,000 RPM redline).
I have the full ownership history, partial tank sticker, and over $10k in receipts documenting mechanical restoration since 2016—including complete engine blueprinting and dyno testing on the original, numbers-matching engine. The car starts and runs excellent and remains a very strong, dependable driver.
Factory options include power steering, power disc brakes, and working AM/FM stereo. The fiber optics function as they should, the vacuum headlights and wiper door work properly, and it still has its original GM steel AZ rally wheels, ignition shielding, and finned valve covers.
The body is accident-free with original bonding strips. The believed-original Monaco Orange paint (code 990) still presents very well but shows imperfections consistent with its age, including minor scratches, chips, and paint checking. The original trim and chrome are in very nice condition, and the black interior remains clean and well-preserved. It even retains its original blue GM door sticker. The undercarriage is exceptionally clean as well.
