1930 Chrysler Model 77 Rumble Seat Roadster Signed by Jay Leno

Offered here is a beautifully restored example of Chrysler’s famous Model 77 Roadster, a car celebrated in its era for both style and performance. The “77” designation was no marketing gimmick, as these cars were capable of cruising at 77 mph, a remarkable feat in 1930.

This particular car is presented in a striking cream and black two-tone finish with a tan convertible top and rumble seat. The restoration retains originality with the only notable upgrade being the addition of a BorgWarner overdrive system which enhances drivability for modern touring.

Under the hood sits Chrysler’s L-head inline six-cylinder engine rated at 93 horsepower paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Stopping power comes from Chrysler’s advanced 4-wheel hydraulic brakes which were pioneering for the time.

The Model 77 also holds a place in motorsport history as a Chrysler 77 Roadster competed in the 1930 24 Hours of Le Mans finishing 5th overall against dominant Alfa Romeos and Bugatti. This car embodies that same blend of endurance and engineering innovation.

Adding to its provenance, this Roadster is signed by Jay Leno on the dashboard and includes framed photos of him with the car, making it a standout collector’s piece with a unique celebrity connection.
